  • A new bar is opening on the barge formerly home to legendary Paris club Concrete. Le Mazette, which opens on March 13th, will be aimed at a "family" audience "who find that bars close too early and clubs too late," Olivia Schorestene, the venue's founder, told Trax Magazine. The opening weekend will feature performances by Brazilian music expert John Gómez and Habibi Funk. From 2012 through '19, the barge at 69 Port de la Râpée was home to Concrete, once one of the world's best-loved clubs. After Concrete was forced to close in July 2019, the team relocated to temporary venue Dehors Brut, which remains open. Not surprisingly, former Concrete founder Brice Coudert didn't receive the news about Le Mazette warmly.
