  • Ultravirus will release Plunderzone™, a new ten-track compilation, next month. The Sydney label cofounded last year by Thick Owens, one of the creative minds behind Soft Centre, describes its focus as spotlighting internet subcultures and digital micro-genres, with its first release featuring music from Meuko! Meuko! and crack_lips. Plunderzone™ collects tracks from Australian artists SPLITROACH//TERRORSLIDE/204-9/2NX, DJ BEVERLY HILL$ and M.Quake as well as seven international producers. The material, as the label puts it, traverses "avant-gabber, medieval speedcore, #Soundclown, Euro House hauntology and a Fleet Foxes rave edit." Listen to "DJ Snake" by Bouti.
