Maribou State are behind the next fabric presents mix, out March 27th through fabric Records.
"In this mix we wanted to create a world of music that in its entirety you wouldn't expect to hear within the walls of fabric," say the UK duo. Instead, the music reflects "the hours spent before heading to the club; drinks at a friend's house, the journey into London, traveling on the underground and the anticipation in the build-up beforehand." To create this sense of narrative, Maribou State used field recordings.
The mix's 22 tracks span soul, disco, house, jungle and electronica, with two new Maribou State cuts, plus a remix of Radiohead's "Reckoner." Music by Nu Guinea, Hailu Mergia and Oriyin also features.
