  • Melbourne label Efficient Space is starting a print publication called Enthusiasms. Originally established as a reissue offshoot of Noise In My Head, Efficient Space has spent the past five years excavating all kinds of musical oddities and forgotten gems from across the Australian music landscape. Founder Michael Kucyk will now be independently producing an annual magazine that collects interviews, playlists, features and other forms of editorial that draw on the label's extensive archives. The first issue includes interviews with Alain Burosse and Andy Rantzen, a piece on Melbourne rave artist Dozza-RT and playlists from Instant Peterson, Julia McFarlane and Brandon Hocura of Séance Centre. Physical copies of the 60-page, A5 publication designed by Steele Bonus can soon be picked up from record stores around the world, including Test Pressing in London, Public Possession in Munich, Bigwax Records in Paris and Skydiver in Melbourne. Copies can also be purchased directly from the label's Bandcamp from February 6th. Kucyk will host launch events in Sydney and Melbourne. The Sydney show takes place at Freda's on January 31st with Liam Brown and a six-hour Noise In My Head DJ set, while, on February 6th, the PAM Store in Melbourne will host sets by NIMH and Julia McFarlane.
