  • Akai is releasing a new version of the MPC sampling workstation. Arriving two years after the MPC Live and MPC X, the MPC One brings a smaller footprint and lower pricetag to the mix while maintaining a similar feature set. The MPC One can operate without a computer and promises all the tools required to develop your ideas into complete tracks. Apart from sampling, launching clips and audio editing, the MPC One can act as a sequencer hub for a studio or live set, offering four CV/gate jacks and MIDI in and out ports. In traditional MPC style, there are 16 pads for programming beats and melodies on the fly, while the seven-inch touchscreen provides an interface for sample editing and detailed sequencing. See all the features on the Akai website. Watch an introduction to the MPC One.
