  • Legowelt will perform a live synthesizer soundtrack to Stanley Kubrick's science fiction classic, 2001: A Space Odyssey. The show will take place at Grauzone Festival in The Hague on Friday, February 7th. It's the latest live score by the revered Dutch synth wiz, following Werner Herzog's Fata Morgana in 2017 and Nosferatu: Phantom der Nacht, also by Herzog, at Amsterdam's EYE Film Institute last year. Also scheduled to appear at Grauzone are the likes of Thurston Moore Group, Test Department and Parrish Smith. Widely considered one of the greatest films ever made, 2001: A Space Odyssey first came out in 1968. The original soundtrack includes classical music pieces by Richard Strauss, György Ligeti and Aram Khachaturian. Listen to our Exchange with Legowelt from 2018.
