- The beloved Berlin club has hinted at possible closure with a new push to #SaveGriessmuehle.
Griessmuehle is sending an SOS.
The beloved Berlin club launched the Save Our Spaces campaign ahead of New Year's Eve 2019. "We are in danger," the venue's website reads. "It's time to respect the clubs as they are, to acknowledge our cultural contribution and to give us a permanent place to exist."
Further details are still unknown at this time, though when sharing the campaign on social media earlier this week, Griessmuehle hinted at a possible future closure. "It might be our last New Year's Eve," the club's team wrote on Instagram, followed by "#SaveGriessmuehle." The Save Our Spaces website says more information will be shared in "early 2020."
Griessmuehle, one of Berlin's most-renowned venues, is home to some of the city's favorite parties, like CockTail d'Amore and Mother's Finest. In February 2019, the club opened a record shop called Latitude.
