- Tornado Wallace, Sleep D, Furious Frank and more have contributed to the release under a variety of zany festive aliases.
A compilation called Xmas Acid has been released with contributions from a range of Melbourne-based artists.
The ten-track CD features new music from names like Tornado Wallace, Sleep D, Nice Girl, Furious Frank, Otologic, Leo James, Pelvis and Mousse, although seasonally themed aliases like DJ Resting Grinch Face, Big Drummer Boi and Naughty Gurl have been substituted. The release description says each artist was asked to contribute an acid-inspired dance track with "as many Xmas references as they so desire." The compilation is available digitally via Bandcamp, or from Skydiver Records in Melbourne at a launch event this Friday, December 20th.
All profits from the release will go towards Australian non-profit Indigenous Community Volunteers, which works to improve quality of life, well-being and social inclusion for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
