Ata Kak lines up debut US tour

- The Ghanaian musician will play live shows in the States in spring 2020.
- Ata Kak will perform live in America for the first time over March and April next year. The Ghanaian artist's US tour runs from March 21st through April 6th, 2020 and includes stops in LA, Portland, Brooklyn, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago and Lakewood, Ohio, as well as Idaho's Treefort Music Festival. His Obaa Sima tape was originally released in 1994, but went largely unheard despite its novel mix of Twi-language rap, funk, hip-hop and electronic. Awesome Tapes from Africa tracked down the obscure musician an re-released the album in 2015. He's since become a European festival favorite, appearing at Sónar and Glastonbury with a London-based band.
