- The 248-page book includes 600 new reviews.
Chee Shimizu will publish a new edition of his book, Obscure Sound, in February.
The Organic Music issued the first edition of Obscure Sound in 2003, which RA editor-in-chief Aaron Coultate compared to a "Michelin Guide for record nerds." The new version includes 200 record reviews left over from the first edition, 600 new reviews, an interview with Yasuaki Shimizu and feature articles on ECM, Japanese new age and ambient and Spanish new age and ambient.
As usual, regular reviews will be broken into unique categories—organic, ethnic, psychedelic, spiritual, experimental, cosmic, meditative and floating.
