  • The last few months have brought a raft of new DJ Sotofett material. The prolific Norwegian artist and Sex Tags Mania head started this streak with the previously reported Datalivet album, recorded on-the-fly and completely in the box. Early this month he also released Noldus on Sex Tags' Amfibia sub-label. The 13-track, 27-minute album comes in a double 7-inch set, features Jaakko Eino Kalevi on drums, Tuomas Toivonen on synth and Sotofett on vocals and was recorded in a Helsinki sauna, on a Swiss train and in Narrabeen, Australia. Sotofett is currently on tour in Japan and and he'll be putting out a tour-only jazz album called The Buy Out on CD under a new alias, Han Sotofett. It also features Kalevi on drums, as well as FIT Siegel on keys and guitar, LNS on kamancheh, Justin Phillips on saxaphone, Cameron Taylor on trumpet and Japanese violinist Osaruxo on keys and string synth. Sotofett's Japanese dates are below. Osaruxo also collaborated with Sotofett on Hebi / Haru, the third in a series of DJ Sotofett 10-inches out now on Honest Jon's Records. Listen to clips from Noldus on Juno and Hebi / Haru on Honest Jon's. Update, January 28th: Sotofett has revealed the tracklist and Bandcamp page for the Han Sotofett album, out now.
