  • Racine will release the Quelque Chose Tombe LP on Aïsha Devi's Danse Noire in February. The album, which consists of nine tracks, is textural, dynamic ambient music that ruminates on the current environment of precarious labor and fatigue. Racine's music has been compared to fellow Montreal resident Tim Hecker's, and a couple of the tracks featured on Devi's RA Podcast. Danse Noire also just released a self-titled EP from Krasnodar, Russia duo Narcissi, who used Soviet and Japanese synths, guitar pedals, cheap drum machines and samplers loaded with video game snippets and TV sound effects to craft a tour-track EP that explores the roots and folklore of their native region. Listen to Racine's "Quelque Chose Tombe II."
