  • It's internationals galore at Melbourne's Honkytonks for the four weeks from late September to late October with three big acts dropping in to the small yet chic club. There's been a few changes down at Honkytonks lately with a new set of Friday night residents, Askew, Jason Martin and Peter Finger of the Dirty Talk crew joining Boogs and Mr Geoffrey. The Saturday lineup now hosts residents Aram Chapers and Mike Callander, giving Honkys a change of sound as well as scenery on the weekends. Things really hot up though from late September starting with a visit from Gene Farris who'll be playing the true Chicago house sound. Farris is both a global DJ and producer, with an extensive discography of over forty productions. Farris's unique DJ style includes mix sultry, melodic sounds with tuff beats. He'll be supported by Boogs, with entry $20 on the door. Germany DJ and producer Tom Clarke is being presented by Honkys premier night devoted to minimal German music, Postcards From Berlin. Tom hails from Berlin and is also the boss of Highgrade Records. His set will feature deep minimal tech/house, Detroit techno, electro and house. Support comes from Bundi, Nic Toupee, Nick Harding and Richard Kelly and entry is FREE! Last but not least for October is Daniel Bell. This mastermind DJ/producer is a must see on many people's lists after his hugely popular mix CD "The Button Down Mind of Daniel Bell" released in 2000. This Techno/house producer is known internationally for his unique minimalist approach to production and DJing. Bell will be supported by Boogs, Dan Beck & Damian Laird.
