  • Once Melbourne's best breaks night for those who remember the good old days at Seven, Fractured looks set to take a new course with a broader sound base and a new weekly home at Brown Alley. Relaunching this Friday 15 July, Fractured will be on every Friday night and entry will rarely be more than $5 guestlist or $10 general. With a new team behind the night now, the aim is to feature all styles of the broken beat, not just nu skool breaks. Over the next two months Fractured will be putting on some of the biggest names in breakbeat with Rennie Pilgrem, Drumattic Twins, Kid Kenobe, Q45, Deadly Avenger, Cut La Roc, K-Oscilate and many more slated to play. Lucid Visuals will also be presenting the visuals each week, and Brown Alley are installing a new sound system in the side room before the relaunch. Fractured will now feature breaks, dancehall, hip hop, drum’n’bass and funk as reflected by the Dj lineup. At the relaunch you can see playing over two rooms Gsan, Paz, J-Red, Mu-Gen with MC’s Big D-Fro and Huff’N’Puff, Obliveus, Brewster, Thayer, Lynt, Jesse I, Almax, Finna, JPS and Nam. To entice the punters down to the new weekly Fractured, the crew are offering FREE entry between the hours of 9:30-12am with FREE drinks being served between 10-11pm if you RSVP to their promo email. Entry after 12am is $5 guest list, $10 general. Doors open from 9.30pm to 7am.
