  • Known for his cross genre sound, of hard but respectable techno styled trance sounds, Mauro Picotto is not only an Italian legend but an international icon. His DJ sets, which change like the winds, take in a variety of influences like that of Germany techno legend Sven Vath. The end result is his ability to produce a night of music that is tailored to the crowd and atmosphere that occasionally hits the elusive electric vibe that many artists only dream of achieving. Picotto, the Lizard Man, who is also famous for his production work (and the glowing green skinned headphones) including the four massive tunes Lizard, Pulsar, Iguana and Komodo (released around 1999-2000) that not only ripped up dance floors the world over but broke various charts and sold like wildfire, will be returning to The Gallery at Turnmills after 3 years. This special Meganite vs Gallery event Friday, June 25, will see Phil Kieran, John Askew and Dave Woods supporting Picotto in the Meganite Room. In the Gallery Room Eddie Halliwell, who just landed a Radio 1 Residency will be playing with the sounds of trance producing 'Push' legend M.I.K.E Gavyn Mytchel (who is replacing Matt Hardwick), Matt Simpson and Alex Anderson. The Soundworx room will be bringing the Tribal sounds thanks to Spaniard Ceballos, he will be joined by Kev 'KGB' Bird, James Mowbray and Momento. More on The Official Turnmills website, and the awesomely designed Meganite website.
