  • Amazon is launching a music festival in Las Vegas in December. Intersect is described as a music, arts and tech festival presented by Amazon Web Services, a subsidiary of the tech giant which provides cloud computing services to most major websites. The first edition will take place at Las Vegas Festival Grounds on Friday, December 6th, and Saturday, the 7th. The lineup spans a wide range of genres such as pop, rock, indie and hip-hop and features a significant electronic contingent. Those acts include Jamie xx, SOPHIE, Flying Lotus, The Black Madonna, Gesaffelstein, Thundercat, Kaytranada, Sudan Archives, Nonotak and Toro Y Moi. Update: Since the announcement, The Black Madonna has said that she did not know Amazon was behind Intersect when she agreed to perform. Read more about the developing story here.
