  • Amon Tobin has announced a new album, Long Stories, on his own label Nomark. The LP is meant to act as a companion piece to this April's Fear In A Handful Of Dust, which was the Brazilian producer's first full-length in eight years. According to the press release, much of Long Stories was made with only one instrument—a broken Suzuki Omnichord, a 1980s instrument originally designed to be an electronic autoharp substitute. Tobin describes the lead single, "One Shy Morning," as "the sound of Margot Robbie riding a unicorn into the sun right before the world explodes and all that's left is a ghost of love." This year also saw Tobin launch his own imprint, Nomark, which has so far released records by his aliases Two Fingers and Only Child Tyrant. Revisit our 2012 feature on Tobin. Listen to "One Shy Morning."
