Clams Casino, Oliver Coates, Julianna Barwick, Cadence Weapon and more feature on the LP, out in October.
Jacques Greene will release his second album on LuckyMe next month.
Dawn Chorus, Greene's first album since his 2017 debut LP, Feel Infinite, was written over the course of five months this past winter, with Greene spending half the time at home in Toronto and the other half in Hudson Mohawke's LA studio. While making the record, he researched the gear of artists who inspired him in order to connect with "their emotional tenor." Some of that gear included My Bloody Valentine's signature delay and a compressor used by French touch producers Alan Braxe and Fred Falke.
Dawn Chorus features a wide range of collaborators, with additional production and instrumentation from film composer Brian Reitzell (Lost In Translation), cello by Oliver Coates, additional production from Clams Casino and original vocal contributions from Julianna Barwick, rapper Cadence Weapon, Ebhoni and Rochelle Jordan. Greene also worked together with Joel Ford (of Ford & Lopatin) to mix the album.
Greene will tour Europe and North America this October in support of the album. A live show at London's St Pancras Old Church is already sold out, with another date to be added.
