- All three records come out next month.
Transmat is putting out three new EPs on September 16th.
The long-running label from techno godfather Derrick May will put out another record from the equally long-standing Detroit group Scan 7 (who also recently released their first album in 20 years). The press release says the Believe EP is inspired by their early churchgoing days, and how those experiences melded with nightlife, and represents their long-held beliefs. It's their second 12-inch for Transmat, following last year's Test Of Time EP.
The other two records mark Transmat debuts. First up is American producer Jon Hester, with the Dimensional EP—which the press release says features "physical drums and adventurous programming"—and then a turn from Australian pioneer Biz—AKA Calix or Peter Elmaloglou—with the three-track techno EP Set Me Free.
Other recent Transmat releases have come from Hiroshi Watanabe, Mbulelo, Drummer B and Francesco Tristano.
