  • Seoul Community Radio has organised a photo exhibition, called Online Radio In Asia, to mark its third anniversary. Since launching in 2016, the South Korean online station has become part of a network of community broadcasters across Asia. A dozen of these organisations, including India's Boxout FM, TCR and Block FM from Japan, Shanghai Community Radio and several others, will be the focus of the SCR 3YR popup exhibition at Moor Seoul this Saturday, August 10th. Organisers say the event "aims to spotlight the importance of these home-grown community radios as representing a pirate radio ethos, giving new artists an opportunity to play at a time where dance music in the region is maturing and also commercialising." The exhibition will tie into a live-streamed party with 31 SCR residents playing in groupings of three across 12 hours, with DJ Bowlcut, Mellan, Airbear, NET GALA, C'est Qui and Yuzo among them. The broadcast will run from 2 PM to 12 AM local time on August 10th.
