- High Hopes And Local Fame is Daniel Ansorge's first release since 2017.
The Magazine team is starting a new label called Schalen.
Barnt, one of the founders of the Cologne imprints with Crato and Jens-Uwe Beyer, handles the first EP on the label. High Hopes And Local Fame contains three new tracks and is Daniel Ansorge's first release since 2017's If She Says She Is A Healer, She Is A Healer on Holger.
The EP is accompanied by a statement that also appears to describe the new outlet: "Vigour and warmth within one world. The world of Schalen. / Anger and sorrow. Joy and tenderness. / High Hopes and Local Fame."
The next releases on Schalen will be handled by Djs Pareja, Friday Dunard and cofounder Jens-Uwe Beyer.
