- Munich's Sophie Schnell journeys through the space between life and death across eleven tracks.
Sophie Schnell, AKA PYUR, is releasing her second LP on Subtext Recordings.
On Oratorio For The Underworld, the German artist channels her experience growing up in a shamanic family, exploring the liminal state between life and death by fusing modern sound design with strings and voice. Written over the course of two years and comprising 11 tracks, the LP also features the cello of Teresa Alvarez and Juan Zalba Fuentes' violin.
Oratorio For The Underworld will be available on digital and CD from October 10th. It arrives three years after the artist's debut effort for Hotflush, Epoch Sinus.
