The mid-sized Bushwick spot will host both live music and DJs.
A club called The Sultan Room will open as part of the new restaurant Turk's Inn at 234 Starr St. in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
Music programmer Bruce Easley calls it a "mature playground," with over-the-top kitschy decor that evokes a feeling of "time warp." The mid-sized venue is tucked behind the Turk's Inn, a brand new two-level space with a rooftop patio that is an homage to the iconic Wisconsin supper club of the same name. They will also serve doner kebab out of a late-night window on the street outside.
It opens next week in the busy nightlife zone that's recently formed around the Jefferson L train stop, just a few blocks from dance spots like House Of Yes, Lot45 and Jupiter Disco. So far on the party schedule they've got Tim Sweeney, Riobamba, Justin Cudmore, Michael Magnan, Vin Sol, Relaxer, Lauren Flax, Rich Medina, Jubilee and Naeem of Spank Rock, among others.
