Gigi Masin and Jonny Nash have announced a collaborative LP, Postcards From Nowhere.
In 2017, artist Xavier Veilhan transformed the French Pavilion at the Venice Biennale into a recording studio, inviting frequent collaborators Gigi Masin and Jonny Nash to record original material. During their residency, the artists created improvised compositions for piano and guitar, recorded with a range of microphone techniques.
Postcards From Nowhere, released through Melody As Truth, has six of these pieces. Art direction and photography for the album's vinyl version comes from London-based design and branding agency Commission Studio. The vinyl is out now, while the digital release will follow on August 17th.
