  • Marco Carola went before a judge in Ibiza yesterday. The brief appearance was in relation to the Italian DJ's ongoing dispute with former promoter It's All About The Music SL, which is seeking €4.48 million in damages—plus the seizure of Carola's assets—after he allegedly breached his contract. Carola's lawyer rejected all the accusations, stating that none of the legal requirements had been met in order to proceed with the seizure of his client's property and earnings, Diario De Ibiza reports. In addition, Carola's lawyer confirmed that the DJ chose to cut ties with the promoter due to financial differences. It's All About The Music SL's lawyer responded by highlighting the relevance of Carola admitting to the "existence of a relationship" with the promoter, as it's equivalent to him "recognising his relationship." It's All About The Music SL is continuing to pursue the seizure of Carola's assets as a precautionary measure, so as to ensure he has enough funds to pay the damages sought. In a separate yet related case, Carola is also being sued by Amnesia, the club where he held his Music On residency for seven years. The club recently won a ruling banning him from playing anywhere else on the island except Amnesia. Carola disobeyed the ruling—and thus breached his contract—by playing Pacha last week, which could result in a fine of €2.4 million.
