Berlin Atonal has announced the first part of the lineup for its 2019 festival, which runs from August 28th through September 1st.
The experimental event is known for hosting live premieres, collaborations and rare bookings. The first wave includes several live audiovisual performances, including premieres from Alessandro Cortini, Nkisi, Function and a collaboration between Stockholm composer Kali Malone and Austrian visual artist Rainer Kohlberger. Objekt and Ezra Miller, and Lee Gamble and Pablo's Eye, will also play live audiovisual sets.
In addition, Soho Rezanejad will premiere a show entitled "Crow Without Mouth," while Félicia Atkinson plays "Music For Helen Frankenthaler," in reference to the American abstract expressionist painter. Liz Harris, under her Nivhek alias, E-Saggila and HTRK have also been confirmed.
No DJ sets have been announced so far.
