  • New Order will release a new live album via Mute in July. The album, full title ?(No,12k,Lg,17Mif) New Order + Liam Gillick: So it goes.., was recorded on July 13th, 2017, at Old Granada Studios as part of Manchester International Festival. Liam Gillick is the visual artist who collaborated with the legendary band for the live show. Composer-arranger Joe Duddell orchestrated the concert, which featured New Order alongside a 12-person synthesiser ensemble from Royal Northern College Of Music. So it goes.. references the title of Tony Wilson's history-making programme, which hosted Joy Division's debut TV appearance in 1978. (They also performed in Old Granada Studios.) Last month, New Order reissued their first album, Movement, along with four 12-inches of their early singles. Listen to "Sub-culture."
