Running Back will release DJ Tennis's first record since 2017.
Manfredi Romano wrote Gordon Starck last December, one day before Innervisions and Life And Death's Rakastella party at Art Basel Miami, according to the press release. Romano first played the record during his back-to-back set with Running Back label head Gerd Janson.
"I was secretly hoping for Running Back to get awarded with it," Janson says. "It basically sums up all the qualities of a DJ Tennis set: You get the highs and lows, the loud and quiet parts. It pogoes and it prances, and it's basically impossible to resist his shuffle."
Gordon Starck follows DJ Tennis' 2017 DJ-Kicks mix and single "Certain Angles" with Fink, both for !K7. The artwork is based on Conny Maier's painting, "Cuvaj glavu — GET WELL SOON."
