  • Even Furthur has announced the lineup for its 25th anniversary camping festival, set to happen August 8th through 12th at Mellen Mountain Meadows in Highbridge, Wisconsin. The techno campout, thrown by Drop Bass Network, was the first of its kind in the US. Furthur, which ran from 1994 through 2001 and kicked off again in 2016, hosted the first US appearance from Daft Punk (pictured), as well as the likes of Aphex Twin, Underground Resistance, Richie Hawtin and Frankie Bones over its run. The 25th anniversary edition includes the first ever North American appearance from hardcore progenitor The Mover, along with cEvin Key from Skinny Puppy, SYNC (the live collaboration of longtime Furthur affiliates Woody McBride and DJ Hyperactive), Volvox, Erika, DVS1, Paul Johnson and DJ Deeon, to name a few. To mark 25 years of Furthur, Drop Bass Network has launched a Bandcamp page for long-out-of-print titles on its label. Woody McBride's 1997 7-inch as ESP, The Furthur EP, is available now, with more rare records from McBride, DJ Hyperactive and Paul Birken scheduled for release leading up to the festival.
