Fabio & Grooverider have put together a 32-track compilation celebrating the seminal London club night Rage.
RAGE aims to capture the melting pot of sounds that defined the party, which Fabio & Grooverider joined as residents in 1991. (The party launched at Heaven in 1988.) Their sets were famously eclectic, spanning house, techno, hardcore, New Beat and early jungle. The compilation's full tracklist is being kept under wraps, but it'll include music by Rhythim Is Rhythim (AKA Derrick May), Frankie Bones, Q-Project, Foul Play, Wots My Code, Tic Tac Toe and Richie Hawtin's Cybersonik project.
RAGE will be available digitally, on vinyl and on CD. The vinyl version will be split into four double-pack 12-inches, with the first two instalments hitting the shelves on May 31st. The remaining two, plus the CD and digital versions, will follow on June 21st. All will be handled by Above Board Projects, the label arm of Above Board Distribution.
