Kompass Klub will reopen next week.
Earlier this month, the Belgium club was ordered to close for four months by the mayor of Ghent, Mathias De Clercq, because of "repeated illegal drug-related activity," he claimed in a statement. (Kompass Klub responded by calling the decision "completely out of proportion.")
On Tuesday, Kompass Klub posted a statement on Facebook, updating that the Belgian Council Of State "suspended the administrative measure" by Mayor De Clercq. "This means Kompass will be allowed to open its doors again."
Kompass Klub's first party since the forced closure will take place on Friday, April 5th. "In the meantime," the venue's team says, "we hope to use this extra time to have a constructive meeting with the mayor, Mathias De Clercq, to make it a positive story for Stad Gent."
