Daniel Avery is expanding his second album for Phantasy Sound.
Song For Alpha: B-sides & Remixes adds two new parts to the 14-track 2018 album, also released on Erol Alkan's label. The first part of the April 5th release features nine new cuts from the recording sessions for the original LP. (Avery produced over 100 tracks while making Song For Alpha, according to the press release.)
Part 2 brings together a range of artists—Actress, Anastasia Kristensen, Mor Elian, Surgeon, Inga Mauer and Giant Swan among them—for 14 remixes that pull from material on Song For Alpha and Avery's 2018 EPs Slow Fade and Diminuendo. Four Tet's acclaimed remix of "Quick Eternity" also makes an appearance.
