  • Australian outfit Mantra Collective will start a record label next month. The Sydney crew, which currently comprises DJs Tim Reeves-Smith and Telly Maragopoulos, has been at the forefront of their home city's (and, more recently, Melbourne's) minimal scene for the past six years, hosting parties with artists like Dana Ruh, Barac and Cezar. Now they'll be setting up a vinyl-only imprint, Mantra Collective Records, with past guest David Gtronic stepping up for the first release, Patior EP. The record will feature two original tracks by the Colombian producer, with a remix from Romania's Vid filling out the flip. Looking beyond, Mantra's second 12-inch comes from Sydney producers Venda and Mike Watts. Listen to samples from the first EP.
