  • Behringer has announced the price and release date of the RD-808 drum machine. The low-price music gear manufacturer revealed to Synthtopia yesterday that the new product will be out in March and retail for $299, the same price as many of its other clones. The updated copy of Roland's template-setting drum machine has been teased by the company for almost two years and comes with new features like a waveshaper, probability-based sequencing and a tuneable kick drum. Details of Behringer's Vocoder VC340, a clone of Roland's VP330 Vocoder Plus, were also made official—it's due in March and will cost $599. Watch Synthtopia's demo video of the RD-808.
