Belfast's AVA Festival reveals first names for 2019

- More than 60 acts have been confirmed for the fifth edition this summer, including Ben UFO, JASSS and Avalon Emerson.
- Belfast festival AVA Festival has revealed the first round of artists playing in 2019. The fifth edition of the festival and conference will go down across May 31st and June 1st, with a closing party scheduled for Sunday, June 2nd. More than 60 names have been announced, including Ben UFO, Avalon Emerson, MCDE, Palms Trax, Rebekah, Mall Grab, Len Faki, Call Super, Daniel Avery, Ben Sims, Honey Dijon, Blawan, Horse Meat Disco, The Black Madonna, Courtesy, JASSS, Skatebård, Willow and Eclair Fifi. As usual, a slew of Irish acts have also been booked, with Saoirse, Cromby, Brame & Hamo, Krystal Klear, Or:la, Sally C, Swoose, The Drifter, Timmy Stewart & JMX, Holly Lester, Hammer, Myler and Nez among the confirmed. The festival proper will return to the same venue as last year, an ex-B&Q warehouse on Boucher Road. The conference, whose programme is still TBA, will also return to The MAC. In the lead-up to AVA 2019, the team is hosting a party at London's Printworks on March 15th with Hunee, Job Jobse, Joy Orbison and more.
