  • Elektron's Overbridge 2.0 software is now available as a public beta. Since being scheduled for release back in early 2017, the second version of the software has been beset by delays with Elektron going so far as to describe it as "the most complex project we have ever undertaken." Two years later, the software can now be accessed on Elektronauts, Elektron's official forum. A closed beta test had been running for six months prior to today's release. The updated version of Overbridge has been keenly anticipated by users of Elektron devices like the Digitone, Digitakt, Analog RYTM and more. It allows producers to tightly integrate Elektron hardware with DAWs like Ableton Live, Bitwig and Logic, offering the ability to stream multiple channels of audio directly in and out of the device to the computer via USB. The hardware can also be controlled by specially designed plug-ins on your computer and process audio fed out of the computer to the device. The update offers a standalone editor for working without a DAW, lower latency, improved graphics plus faster recall and automation.
