nd_baumecker's Panorama Bar 07 mix, which was supposed to come out in November, is out now via Ostgut Ton.
The delay was caused by problems with the label's licensing scheme for the mix series. (Given that the mixes are now digital-only and available for free, Ostgut Ton asks rightsholders to clear their tracks for free.) Having resolved the licensing issues, the label has posted the mix as a .WAV file and shared full tracklist, along with a statement from nd_baumecker. Cabaret Voltaire, Röyksopp, Anthony Naples, D. Tiffany and Peverelist are among the artists featured in the mix.
"With this mix I've tried to communicate that club music is not just about banging tracks with kick drums and open hi-hats," the longtime Panorama Bar resident says. "Sets need warmth: a sonic quality that allows you to space out, lose yourself and become completely immersed in the music. In other words I feel we need frequencies and sounds out there that express emotion."
"This is why I would say my Panorama Bar 07 mix ended up dreamy, melodic and psychedelic," he adds, "with peak time material sprinkled in here and there. It's a set I'd like to hear on a Sunday afternoon or Monday morning, when it's light outside."
Ostgut also released two mini-compilation EPs with exclusive tracks from the mix.
