  • Optimo's JD Twitch is starting a new label called Against Fascism Trax. The Scottish artist announced the new project with a lengthy statement outlining the aims of the label. "If AF Trax reaches just one person to make them change their mind over being a supporter of the far right, motivates somebody to work against fascist thinking, informs someone or raises funds," the statement says, "then I will view it as having been a success. Something solid will have been created, we will have done something." All proceeds from the label will go towards Hope Not Hate, a UK charity that focuses on anti-fascist and anti-racism campaigning. The statement also includes a dedication to Jo Cox and Heather Heyer—two women who were killed at the hands of far-right activists in recent years—and ends by saying, "Individually we may be powerless, but together we are strong. If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention!" Against Fascism Trax will release ten EPs throughout 2019, starting with the Rat Full Of Coins (Vol. 1) 12-inch from new producer Logtoad. EPs by Al Jerry and Joe Goddard—the latter of which will feature Kool Keith and Fantastic Twins—will follow. Read the full statement.
