Shelley Parker is releasing an EP with Hessle Audio.
The four-track Red Cotton EP sees the London artist working with "processed field recordings from both her choreography work and echoes of Carnival from her flat," and features a remix from Ploy. Known for her installation work and releases on avant-garde labels like Entr'acte, Red Cotton sees Parker combining her abstract sound sources with dance music-adjacent rhythms and club-ready doses of sub-bass. It's due out November 23rd on vinyl and digital formats.
Red Cotton is Hessle Audio's last release of 2018, following an LP from Bruce and a slew of 12-inches from the likes of label cofounder Pangaea and Joy O & Ben Vince.
