Dublin club District 8 to close at The Tivoli Theatre in January 2019

- The team have revealed some of their final shows before the building is turned over to property developers.
- Dublin club District 8 has announced its last-ever shows at The Tivoli Theatre. The popular pop-up venue, which has been operating out of the Francis Street building since 2014, will be forced to relocate in January, when work starts to redevelop the area and turn The Tivoli Theatre into an aparthotel. In the meantime, District 8 will open as usual, with the likes of Bicep, Mall Grab, Ben Klock, Amelie Lens, Charlotte de Witte, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Dixon locked in for the remainder of 2018. January's programme is still TBA, though the team have revealed that the weekend of the 25th and 26th will be their last at The Tivoli Theatre. That said, "District 8 does not finish with The Tivoli," insisted the organisers in a statement. "We are planning lots of special things for the future, so watch this space."
