New boat party, Cargø, gives Paris another night out on the Seine

- Paris will soon welcome another boat party, Cargø. Set on the River Seine across from Jardin des Tuileries, the three-story venue features three dance floors and two outdoor terraces, where Cargø will host day and night parties once a month. The 800-900-capacity boat has previously hosted other events, but the Cargø team hope to make it their own space. "10,000 tons of steel, glitter and music on the Seine," they said. "With a little mist on the portholes, necessarily." Cargø opens its doors on November 30th with house and disco DJ Daniel Wang alongside French acts Mézigue, Mad Rey and local crew Deviant Disco Paris. Future events are still TBA. Last month, Parisian boat club Batofar announced it had closed for good due to financial troubles after nearly 20 years in operation. It will reportedly reopen as a salsa club with a different name, Faro Faro, next summer.
