  • Resident Advisor is co-curating the night program at the third edition of MUTEK.JP. For our first-ever stage at the Japanese arm of the international experimental electronic festival, we're hosting a mix of international talent and exciting local artists at Nocturne 2 on Friday, November 2nd. At WWW X, industrial bass music producer Lemna will be joined by visual artist Naoto Tsujita to deliver a live performance, and Rashad Becker and Ena will follow up their collaborative show at last year's Berlin Atonal with another live set. Experimental producer Sofheso will also perform live, while Laurel Halo and Yone-Ko, resident of Berlin's Club Der Visionaere, are also down for DJ sets. Downstairs at our all-nighter, you'll find performances by BETTY APPLE, Filastine & Nova and an audiovisual set by Sol Del Rio. Intercity-Express will deliver a rework of his project Triggering, plus there'll be a reunion of Mold, AKA brothers Shigeo and Reymond. Before the party on November 2nd, we'll host a panel as part of MUTEK.JP's Digi Lab symposium at Miraikan, Tokyo's National Museum Of Emerging Science And Innovation. We'll be discussing "Diversity In The East Asian Electronic Music Scene," with Sapphire Slows, Betty Apple, Machìna and Melting Bot founder Shimpei Kaiho, led by RA contributor Tobias Burgers. The full Digi Lab program is still TBA. Highlights from the festival's first lineup announcement include Colleen, Electric Indigo, Sugai Ken, Ben Frost and Kyoka. Underground Resistance members Jeff Mills and Mike Banks are locked in for a rare set as X-102. Tickets are available here on RA.
