  • Dominick Fernow is putting out his latest Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement album, Red Ants Genesis, on vinyl. The album, which features co-production by Low Jack, originally came out this past March on cassette. Now Fernow's Hospital Productions label is reissuing it as a double-vinyl set that comes with a bonus remix by Equiknoxx that was not on the tape (and has never been released before). You can hear that over in the New Tracks section. The reissue is out now. Hospital Productions are also raising money for a showcase in Mexico City to benefit victims of the devastating 2017 earthquake, which will include the local debut of many Hospital artists. Those who donate will get their names projected on a wall at the event, as well as various music downloads (including yet-to-be-announced material from Silent Servant and Merzbow) and a physical ticket designed by Fernow. Check out the Kickstarter here. "Techno is the ultimate soundtrack to the hypnotic sprawl and freeways of cities," Fernow says in a statement. "We want to bring together some of Mexico City, Paris, and New York's most radical techno and avant-garde live electronics artists in what is arguably the most rapidly emerging metropolis in North America to help rebuild a small part of the rural communities that are ignored by most club culture."
