  • Robyn will release a new album called Honey via her label, Konichiwa Records, and Interscope on October 26th. The title track, out today, was originally composed at the request of Lena Dunham for the last season of Girls. A demo version of the single aired on a 2017 episode of the show, but Robyn bided her time finishing the song as well as eight other tunes that "stand at the crossroads of pop and club music," the label says. "It's not produced or written as a normal pop song," she says of the single. "It is totally based on this idea of club music. When you're listening to club music, there's no reward. The reward isn't, 'Oh, here's the chorus, here's the lyric that makes sense.' You have to enjoy what it is. You have to enjoy that there's no conclusion." Robyn's recent dalliances with club music have included singing on a Mr. Tophat single and a subsequent joint appearance on Beats In Space. The new album will be her first solo LP since 2010's Body Talk. Listen to Robyn's "Honey."
