  • Magnetic Fields Festival has announced the first round of names for its sixth edition in December. Running from the 14th through 16th, Magnetic Fields 2018 takes places at Alsisar Mahal, an opulent hotel and former palace in the Rajasthani desert. The festival will feature the likes of Daphni, DJ EZ, Nabihah Iqbal, Courtesy, Kamaal Williams, Henry Wu and DJ Seinfeld alongside domestic talents such as Paraphoniks, Monsoon Search Party, Unnayanaa and BFR Sound System's Delhi Sultanate and Begum X. Bicep will close the festival on Sunday night. Resident Advisor will return to host a party on Saturday night, this time featuring Leon Vynehall and recent RA podcaster Moxie. Playing all night long, the London-based pair will go back-to-back for the first time. Also locked in is a showcase from Exit Records, with dBridge and SP:MC repping for the revered drum & bass label. More names will be added in the coming months. As with previous years, the programme will extend beyond dance music to jazz, treasure hunts and talks from leading domestic names in science, photography, sport and more. The theme for Magnetic Fields 2018 is "Illumination." Watch our film from Magnetic Fields 2016 and read Aaron Coultate's review of last year's edition.
