Actress launches new label, Werk__Ltd, with mini-LP by Young Paint

- The record, out September 29th, is the work of a "learning program"—or another alias of Darren Cunningham's.
- Actress, real name Darren Cunningham, has launched a new label, Werk__Ltd, whose first release will be a mini-LP by Young Paint. Young Paint is described variously as an "AI sprite" and "learning program" that has "progressively emulated" Actress's musical process since his debut LP, Hazyville. Young Paint may, however, be another alias of Cunningham's—one of the artist's aliases, AZD, is also the title of Actress's last album and an anagram of Cunningham's childhood nickname. Young Paint's self-titled, six-track mini-LP will be released September 29th by Werk__Ltd in collaboration with The Vinyl Factory. Young Paint and Actress will perform live together on Saturday, October 13th at South London's Unit 8.
