  • Bliss Signal, the metal-influenced collaboration between Mumdance and WIFE, will release their eponymous debut album late next month through True Panther Sounds and Profound Lore Records. We're told Jack Adams and James Kelly "trace a line between blackened metal, driving electronic rhythms and ethereal atmospherics" on Bliss Signal, with the results belonging "neither on a dance floor nor in a mosh pit," as today's announcement puts it. The duo had first teamed up as Bliss Signal for a debut performance at Unsound 2017 in Krakow, and earlier this month they put out their first record, Drift. The album was mixed by Jaime Gomez-Arellano (who also provided additional engineering) before being mastered at Abbey Road Studios by Christian Wright, who's done work for artists including Radiohead, Björk and Ben Frost, and it features a cover photo by Andrea Buzzichelli. True Panther and Profound Lore are giving it a release on vinyl, CD and digital formats. Listen to the "vapormetal"-tagged album cut "Surge."
