- The Italian digger's second BBE collection is out on CD and vinyl in September.
Crate-digging Italian DJ and Neroli label head Volcov has curated a second compilation of obscurities for BBE.
From The Archive Volume 2 is another set of lesser-known and hard-to-find deep house, funk, disco and soul tunes picked out by Enrico Crivellaro, who put together the first From The Archive release for BBE back in 2016. "This time," he says, "with such a crowded marketplace for reissues and compilations of '70s and '80s music, I decided only to focus on songs from the last ten to 15 years."
Among his selections are Ron Trent's "Ori Space" and "The Afterlife Part 2" from the late, highly-regarded jazz-funk pianist and producer Harry Whitaker—neither track has been pressed to wax until now.
The compilation comes out next month on double-vinyl, CD and digital formats, with the CD featuring a couple of Volcov edits.
