  • The first day of Panorama festival has been cancelled because of severe weather. The festival began this afternoon at 1:45 PM New York time, and around 5 PM attendees began receiving messages that the festival was evacuating due to severe weather in the area, and that the rest of the first day would be cancelled. Friday night performers were to include The Black Madonna, Mike Servito, Mall Grab, Yaeji, Migos and The Weeknd. In the notification, Panorama promised to reopen on Saturday for the rest of the festival. Panorama, which launched in 2016 and takes place at Randall's Island Park, is an offshoot of the Coachella Festival in California, with a three-stage lineup that cuts across the spectrum of indie rock, hip-hop and dance music.
