- For the third year running, we'll be running live panels and interviews at Amsterdam's EYE Film Institute.
Resident Advisor is hosting a conference at Dekmantel Festival 2018.
Running from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM on Thursday, August 2nd, the third edition of RA's conference series helps kick off the festival with an afternoon of interviews and panels. It's live, free to the public and takes place in a theatre at Amsterdam's EYE Film Institute, which is a short ferry ride across the water from Centraal station.
For the second time, we'll be hosting a live edition of our Art Of DJing feature series with Elena Colombi and John Talabot dissecting their craft in a joint discussion. There will also be a panel titled "Marketing Yourself As An Artist In 2018" with Varg, Sassy J and Hieroglyphic Being sounding off on the pressures of online self-promotion. Two RA Exchanges round out the programme, one with Warp's IDM master Clark and another with maverick synth head Legowelt.
This year's Dekmantel Festival runs from August 1st through 6th. You can catch DJ sets from the likes of Source Direct & Special Request, Powder, Ricardo Villalobos, Charlotte Bendiks, Donato Dozzy, JASSS, Helena Hauff, Patrick Russell, Lena Willikens, Joy Orbison, DJ Nobu and DJ Stingray and live sets from Raime, Tolouse Low Trax, Shackleton, Detroit In Effect, Stanislav Tolkachev, Errorsmith, Gesloten Cirkel, Aurora Halal & Relaxer and more.
